A bicycle race will affect traffic in Southampton, Warwick and Paget on Sunday morning, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment said.

Drivers were urged to use caution during the Bermuda Bicycle Association VT Construction Road Race, set to start near Gulfstream Restaurant on South Road, Southampton at 7.30am.

Cyclists will head east on South Road, down St Paul’s Lane and along Middle Road to Barnes Corner and back along South Road to the starting line.

No road closures are expected, with the event set to conclude by 10.30am, but police officers and race marshals will direct traffic.

Police are authorised to close off streets or portions of streets and allow parking as decided by the commissioner.
