Vegetation clearing will impact a Pembroke road for about a week, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment warned today.

The ministry said Palmetto Road just east of Glebe Road will be reduced to a single lane of traffic between September 28 and October 6.

Work to clear greenery will take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

Workers from Abundance Horticulture will manage traffic during this time.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area and instead use alternative routes along Marsh Folly Road, Bishop Spencer Road and Roberts Avenue.

Those travelling through the area should expect delays and exercise caution, the public works ministry reminded the public.
