STS Digital has picked up its fourth industry award in less than a year, after a period where the digital-asset trading firm got its full Bermuda Monetary Authority licence and expanded its products.

The Bermudian-regulated firm was named Digital Asset Provider of the Year by Futures & Options World, which offers news and analysis of the global futures and options industry.

Radi Khasawneh, director at FOW, said STS Digital had made strides in developing institutional-grade liquidity at scale amid changes across markets.

He said: “Coverage in the crucial and growing options market, and now with a [quantitative investment strategies] offering mean that the firm is well placed to harness growth trends.”

The award comes little more than a week after STS Digital launched a QIS platform aimed at institutional investors.

Its first strategy, Smart Bitcoin, is designed to adjust bitcoin exposure according to a predetermined volatility target.

In May, STS Digital received its full Digital Asset Business Act licence from the BMA, completing the regulator’s three-stage licensing process. The company had also doubled its team over the preceding year.

In June, the firm was named Best Derivatives Trading Solution at the TradingTech Insight Awards USA 2026.

That recognition followed a $30 million strategic funding round and the expansion of STS Digital’s institutional infrastructure, including its integration with BitGo’s Go Network.

More recently, STS Digital launched cross-asset portfolio margining after completing the BMA’s material-change process.

Maxime Seiler, cofounder and chief executive of STS Digital, said: “To receive this recognition alongside three other industry awards in less than a year is a meaningful milestone for the entire STS Digital team.

“We have been focused on building a business that solves real problems for institutional clients from liquidity and execution to derivatives, structured products and risk management.”

STS Digital provides professional and institutional clients with access to more than 400 digital assets.

The company is part of a growing regulated digital-asset sector in Bermuda. The BMA reported 49 licensed digital-asset businesses at the end of 2025, up from 36 a year earlier. In August, David Burt, the Premier, told The Royal Gazette that the number had reached 56.

Mr Seiler added: “Awards are not the objective. Building a business that institutions trust, use and grow with is the objective.”
