A lane on North Shore Road in Flatts will be closed to traffic this week to facilitate roadworks, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment advised.

The ministry said the emergency lane closure will take place near Jennings Road, Flatts, to facilitate Belco cable repairs.

The closure will be in effect from tomorrow, September 29 to Thursday, October 1, between 9.30am and 6pm.

Intelligent Excavation representatives will manage the traffic using stop-and-go signs and, where possible, traffic lights.

Motorists were asked to exercise caution when travelling through the area and to follow all traffic-control instructions.

The ministry thanked the public for its co-operation and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
