A rider sustained a head injury after a single-vehicle collision in Pembroke yesterday, police said.

A spokeswoman said around 4.15pm, officers and other first responders responded to a report of the collision which involved a motorcycle at the junction of Crow Lane and Lane Hill, Pembroke.

While details were limited, the police said it is believed that the rider struck a wall and sustained a head injury.

The scene was forensically examined while traffic was diverted around the area.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area where possible and use alternative routes.
