The Employee Assistance Programme of Bermuda has once again attained full accreditation from the Nonprofit Alliance Standards Committee.

This accreditation lasts until June 30, 2030 and is granted by the NASC under the Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda.

Programme executive director Latisha Lister-Burgess said it signifies adherence to rigorous standards in areas such as administrative excellence, systematic quality improvement, client rights protection, organisational risk management, sound governance practices, financial accountability and comprehensive staff development with ongoing supervision.

The re-accreditation process involved a comprehensive review, including submission of evidence, interviews and on-site evaluation.

Two international peer reviewers from the Council on Accreditation assessed the evidence and provided attestations of integrity and recommendations, which were then validated by the NASC, before final approval.

“EAP Bermuda’s accreditation underscores its commitment to high-quality, confidential and inclusive employee support services, including counselling, training and crisis management resources for both public and private sector employees,” Ms Lister-Burgess said. “This recognition ensures that EAP Bermuda adheres to international best practices in workplace mental health and well being support.”

EAP Bermuda has been continuously accredited since 2013.

“To achieve accreditation for the fourth time as we approach our 40th anniversary is a testament to the continued hard work of our board and staff,” Ms Lister-Burgess said. “We view this achievement as a reflection of our unwavering commitment to best practices and adherence to international standards.”
