BMA staff support eight charities
More than 230 Bermuda Monetary Authority employees spent yesterday volunteering with eight charities and community organisations as part of the regulator’s fifth annual Community Day.
Staff supported projects involving senior and children’s care, environmental conservation, gardening, maintenance and landscaping.
The organisations included WindReach Bermuda, Keep Bermuda Beautiful, Lefroy House Care Community, the National Museum of Bermuda, Tomorrow’s Voices, Westmeath Residential and Nursing Care Home, the Bermuda Zoological Society and the Bermuda National Trust.
Shanna Lespere, the BMA’s deputy chief executive, said the initiative is about the authority’s commitment to sustainability and community service.
She said: “It has become a cornerstone of our employee culture and an enduring tradition of service, bringing our people together to make a meaningful difference in the community.”
The BMA launched its first Community Day in 2022 during its 50th anniversary celebrations.
