Man remanded for sentencing after admitting drug offences

A man who admitted money laundering and possessing drugs with intent to supply will be sentenced this month.

Jay Woolridge, 40, has been charged with eight drug-related offences in the Supreme Court. Last month he pleaded guilty to four of them.

He admitted to having and using criminal property, namely money, between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2023.

He also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, cannabis resin and THC, all with intent to supply.

Asked if he had anything to say, Woolridge said: “I just want to apologise to the courts for wasting time and to my family and friends.”

Puisne Judge Alan Richards adjourned the case until October 12 for sentencing and remanded Woolridge in custody.
