Bermuda striker Nia Christopher made an immediate impact in her first season at Icelandic club Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar, where she scooped the top goalscorer accolade.

Christopher, who joined the Icelandic Women's Premier Division side in March following her departure from USL Super League club Fort Lauderdale United, proved to be a prolific presence in front of goal, netting 17 times during the season across all competitions.

Her goalscoring exploits did not go unnoticed, with the 25-year-old one of six individuals honoured by FH when the season concluded on October 24. The recognition capped a memorable debut campaign in Iceland for the Bermudian international.

In total, Christopher scored 12 league goals, finishing third overall on the charts as FH were runners-up. She added three more in the Icelandic Cup, found the target on one occasion each in the Icelandic Super Cup and the Uefa Women’s Europa Cup.

Christopher’s season highlight came on October 4 when she notched four goals in her team's emphatic 5-0 victory over ÍBV in a league encounter, underlining her clinical finishing and importance to the side.

She also made her mark on the European stage. The Bermudian found the net when FH took on Eintracht Frankfurt, of Germany, in the Women's Europa Cup second qualifying round on September 30.

Christopher put her side in the lead just 12 minutes into the encounter, giving FH a dream start against their highly-favoured opponents. However, the German side recovered in the second half to win 4-1 on the night and advance to the round of 16 on a 5-1 aggregate.
