Cub Scouts to join Thinking Day Worship Service
Tomorrow
Centenary United Methodist Church: Thinking Day Worship Service with the 19th Bermuda Cub Scouts at 11am. The congregation has sponsored the 19th, the largest Cub pack in Bermuda, for more than 50 years. The pack meets in the church hall every Friday at 7pm.
St Paul AME Church: Annual Men’s Day services at 10.55am and 4pm. Following the morning service lunch will be on offer at the Victoria Street church for $10. The Churches of the Warwick/Paget/Southampton Ministerial Alliance: Joint Lenten Service at Bright Temple AME at 7.30pm. Refreshments and a light supper will be offered after the service.
The Reverend Derek Lawson will preach on Mary and Martha at this second of five joint Lenten services happening between Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday. Each will be at different churches under the heading “The Women Who Walked With Jesus”. All are welcome.

Chapel-of-Ease Church (St David’s): Annual soup and roll takeout dinner at the church hall from 3pm to 7pm. Dinner costs $5; dessert is an additional $2.

Heard Chapel AME Church: Pre-Men’s Day breakfast. The event will start at 8am and include a sermon by guest preacher Jimmie R. Denwiddie Sr, the senior pastor of New Creation Worship Centre in Devonshire.
Sunday, February 28
Vernon Temple AME Church: Annual Men’s Day. Several services with the theme, “Men serving in submission to God”, based on a passage of scripture, John 13: 1-6. Rev Leon Jennings will speak at the 7am service; Pastor Ulric Hetsberger at 10am and Rev Nicholas Tweed at 4pm. Lunch will be served following the 10am service; refreshments will follow the afternoon service.
Tuesday, March 1
The Churches of the Warwick/Paget/Southampton Ministerial Alliance: Joint Lenten Service at 7.30pm at St Mary’s Church. There will be refreshments and a light supper offered after the service. Pastor Deborah Dean will preach at the third Lenten Service on the Virgin Mary. All are welcome.

Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church Women’s Ministry: International Women’s Day of Prayer. The event starts at 11am and includes a message by Shurnette Caines. All are welcome.
Sunday, March 6
Heard Chapel AME Church: Annual Men’s Day. There will be two services with the theme: “Men Understanding Your Potential” (based on 2 Timothy 4: 6-7).
The guest preacher will be the Reverend Joseph Hooper, the senior pastor at St Luke AME Church in Newark, New Jersey, at both the 11am and 4pm service. Lunch will be served in between for a donation of $15.

New Testament Church of God: The Women’s Discipleship Ministries will hold its 2016 Women’s Conference Empowerment Service at 7pm. The guest speaker will be the Reverend Jennifer Porter Cox. New Testament Church of God: Girls Club at 6.30pm. For young girls ages 14 to 19. The theme of the event at Miracle Temple will be “The Risk of Losing the Race” with guest speaker Shannel Burrows, the co-pastor of West Pembroke Pentecostal Assembly.
New Testament Church of God: Jubilee Girls, an event for young people age 8 to 13 at 6.30pm. The message, with the theme of “Preparing for the Race”, will be taught by Lady R. Beverley Minors of NTCOG Miracle Temple.
