A 55-year-old man denied threatening to kill someone in a message to a government MP.
Perry Smith was accused of causing Michael Scott, the Sandys North politician, to receive a written threat towards “a person” on or about August 10, 2018. He pleaded not guilty when he appeared at the Supreme Court on Friday.
Mr Smith, from Sandys, also denied being in possession of a knife sharpener on September 8 last year.
Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves set a trial date for next month and extended Mr Smith’s bail.
