Man released from hospital after club assault

A man stabbed at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club at the weekend has been released from hospital.

A spokesman with the Bermuda Police Service said that the 24-year-old man was on the club’s porch with a group of men when he was assaulted by two other men at about 11.30pm on Sunday.

The club was closed at the time.

The man was taken to King Edward Memorial VII Hospital for a stab wound to his elbow and bruising to his face and body.

The police spokesman said that a search was made for the men who assaulted the victim but they were not found.

He added: “The scene has been processed and inquiries continue regarding the circumstances of this assault.”
