Bodybuilding Championships (CACAB) which take place in Kingston, Jamaica, on Friday and Saturday.

Heading the local cast of five men and three women set to depart tomorrow are Mr. Bermuda Dwayne Outerbridge and his female counterpart Ms Candy Lee Foggo.

Also included in the squad are Messrs. Randy Burgess, Floyd Swan, Travis Clark and Carlos Astwood among the men, while Ms Melanie DeRosa and Ms Dawn Fubler are the remaining women.

Each will be flexing muscle in several weight classes against competition from up to 23 countries representing various parts of the region.

In preparation for the event members have been hard at work in their gyms aiming to achieve their desired definition and muscle mass. In addition, local professional Mr. Ron Magnum has lent his expertise to the athletes cause in the form of regular posing sessions.

With eight entries, as opposed to only two last year, Bermuda Body-Building Federation's public relations officer Mr. Percy Paynter said that much more is expected this time around.

"This time we stand a chance of bringing back some gold,'' said Paynter.

"We're competing in more categories and are much better prepared than last time.'' While all are expected to do well, Mr. Paynter pointed out Messrs.

Outerbridge, Clarke and Swan as the Island's leading male contenders and Ms Foggo, who will take part in the women's heavyweight division, also has a decent shot at top honours.
