Parish miss chance to go top

Leo Burgess netted for Eagles

Hamilton Parish blew a chance to replace leaders Southampton Rangers at the top after losing 2-1 against unbeaten Somerset Eagles at White Hill Field yesterday.

The home side took the lead through Ethan Fubler before Shakeem Albouy equalised before half-time. Leo Burgess secured the points late on.

Parish remain second, a point adrift of Rangers who had a bye.

At Police Field, second-half tallies from Diego Richardson and Chemarl Henry guide Devonshire Colts to a 2-0 win over Flanagan’s Onions. Richardson opened the scoring in the 80th minute before Henry then added a second five minutes later.

Elsewhere, at Lord’s St David’s beat Wolves 2-0. Zachary Morris put the home side ahead in the first half from the penalty spot after Diego McCallan was fouled.

Kontai Burton then made the points safe when he headed in Dimitri Butterfield’s free kick in the 55th minute.

In the remaining First Division matches, Ireland Rangers and Vasco da Gama played to a 2-2 draw at Malabar Field while Young Men’s Social Club edged St George’s Colts 2-1 at Wellington Oval.
