Joaquin named as new Registrar of Companies

A former accountant-general is the new Registrar of Companies.

Ken Joaquin, who also served as permanent secretary for the health ministry, replaced Stephen Lowe, who retired this year.

The Ministry of Finance said Mr Joaquin had more than 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors. His most recent role was as an independent financial consultant in Canada for international clients.

Mr Joaquin is also a former president and chief executive of Stevedoring Services and Bermuda Aviation Services.
