Participants in Government’s Mirrors programme hung Christmas decorations, swept floors and bathed animals at the WindReach Recreational Village as part of their community service.Youth Minister Glenn Blakeney said the group of Mirrors delegates and their life coaches spent one Saturday at the facility as a means of thanking the community for its support.“Mirrors participants were given the opportunity to choose an organisation that they would like to give back to,” a Government spokeswoman said.“They decided to volunteer at WindReach after learning what WindReach offers the community in terms of support for people with special needs. Mirrors will continue to work in partnership with other community-based programmes in an effort to transform the lives of our young people.”The staff at WindReach couldn’t be more happy with the work that was done, and programme and events coordinator Natasha Dowling said: “You guys at Mirrors are doing an awesome job. What you do is something I wholeheartedly encourage our community to invest in.
