Employment agency SOS Limited says it is extending its hours in order to accommodate staff soon to be laid off when department store Trimingham's closes its doors at the end of July.

In a Press statement, the company said it was putting in place longer hours - staying open until 7 p.m. weekdays through March - in response to “the sad news that one of Bermuda's leading retail businesses are closing its doors after many decades of service”.

The company said it wanted to be there to give Trimingham's staff, who were told this week they will not have a job much longer “career advice during this difficult time”.
