Hammers -- auctions, appraisals and state sales -- is pleased to announce their first auction of the new season at "Catspool'' 111 Harrington Sound Road, Smith's Parish.

There will be an interesting collection of antique and reproduction furniture as well as collectables: Antique inlaid mahogany breakfast table, Victorian balloon back dining chairs, antique mahogany longcase clock, military chests, antique mahogany bureau bookcase, glass fronted bookcases, and mahogany corner cabinets of small proportions.

There will also be fine china including Minton, Rosenthal, and Limoges.

Crystal, silver and silver plate, Bermuda books, antique maps of Bermuda and other islands, paintings, prints, and much more.

Preview on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 12 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. The auction will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to completion. For more information 292-2576.

*** The Trustworthy shop has moved from its temporary location at the Gibbons Company and is now located at the National Trust headquarters, Waterville, Pomander Road Paget.

Opening hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

And as usual Waterville is open to the public on weekdays 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
