Butterfield shares up 2.6%

The Royal Gazette/BSX index was up 62.22 points

Shares of Butterfield Bank hit a one-year high of $49 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, improving by $1.25, or 2.6 per cent, after 1,100 were traded.

Also improving were shares of Argus Group Holdings, which were up 30 cents, or 8.3 per cent, to $3.91 after 1,000 were exchanged.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 62.22 points, or 2.35 per cent, at 2,711.22.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank’s shares were down 89 cents, or 1.84 per cent, at $47.45.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 16.86 points, or 0.89 per cent, at 1,873.68.

Meanwhile, a series of four- and five-year notes issued by Kilimanjaro Re Ltd and valued at $525 million, were admitted onto the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
