Dear Sir,

My late wife and I were thankful for the friendship of the late Mr and Mrs Ira Philip. They were always involved in progressive programmes and endeavours throughout their lives, despite rearing a large family of high achievers.

Mr Philip was an extraordinary journalist and historian, while Mrs Philip was a beautiful soloist. They were always involved in community affairs, including the Masonic and Oddfellows lodges, to improve the lot of other Bermudians.

Their mission was to spread a positive message to all, despite their personal challenges.

This country would be much better off with people such as them.

May God bless and encourage their family and all of those connected to them.
