The wreckage of an empty car that crashed over a steep drop on Cavendish Road in Pembroke was hauled out by crane yesterday.

The parked vehicle rolled down Hibiscus Lane across the main road, crashed through the wall on the far side, plunged down the drop and landed upside down in a yard between two houses.

Police have yet to find out what caused the accident.

Emergency services responded to the incident at about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The driverless car did not hit any vehicles and no one was injured.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
