Another clean sheet for Trott

Awesome foursome: Nathan Trott

Bermuda goalkeeper Nathan Trott kept a fourth clean sheet in a row as England Under-20 beat Portugal 3-0 at Manchester City’s Academy Stadium yesterday.

It was the second successive victory for the Young Lions, who edged Poland 1-0 last week in Bielsku-Bialej when Aston Villa’s Keinan Davis scored a late winner.

Trott impressed again against Portugal as England continued their good form in front of 841 spectators. Keith Downing’s side opened the scoring after just 15 minutes when Benfica’s Chris Willock scored from close range.

The home side doubled their advantage four minutes before the interval when Davis notched his second international goal with a penalty after he had been pulled down.

Captain Easah Suliman capped off a sterling display, scoring England’s only goal in the second half.
