Increased airmail delivery speeds are widening the gap of service offered by the General Post Office vs international courier companies. Promising next day delivery by 8 a.m. FedEx Express are slated to offer their new service by the end of the month.

The new service guarantees delivery by 8 a.m. for documents and packages shipped from Bermuda to more than 5,000 zip codes in the US as well as select postal codes in the European cities of Basel, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Milan and Paris.

A money back guarantee supports the new service, which has been made available to several Caribbean Islands.

LOM CAPITAL TO BUY COMMON SHARES STK LOM Capital to buy common shares Freewest Resources Canada Inc. has negotiated private placements for up to $1.05-million (Canadian) and LOM Capital Ltd. of Bermuda will buy up to one million common shares at 70 cents each, for proceeds of $700,000 (Canadian).

Each share is accompanied by a purchase warrant, which entitles the holder to buy an additional share at the same price for up to 12 months. Another ten investors will buy 500,000 flow-through and common shares at 70 cents (Canadian) each.

Each share comes with half a share-purchase warrant. One warrant entitles the holder to another share at 90 cents (Canadian) for 18 months.

E*TRADE JOINS BERMUDA EXCHANGE STK E*Trade Global joins Bermuda exchange California-based E*Trade Global have joined the Bermuda stock Exchange as trading members bringing to 20 the number of companies allowed to trade local securities.

E*Trade Global have a Bermuda office and offer on-line investments and securities trading on both at retail and an institutional level.

A fully-owned subsidiary of E*Trade Group Inc., E*Trade Global will act as the group's hub and facilitate cross border trading of securities and currency for their international network of affiliate brokers-dealers.
