Bermudians have reached out to offer help to a Policewoman whose home was wrecked by fire.

Last Friday?s blaze destroyed an entertainment centre and left severe smoke and heat damage to the living room of P.c. Veronica Dill?s Somerset home. Only one of the three occupants of the upper-level apartment on Scott?s Hill Road was home shortly after 7 a.m. when the blaze began.

The actual cost of what P.c. Dill lost in the fire was not obtainable, though initial estimates put it at somewhere between $25,000-$30,000. A Police spokesperson said there had been donations from both within the Police Service and from the community at large, including several financial donations from churches.
