The house of an Police officer has been targeted by an arsonist it was revealed yesterday ? with a female suspect already in custody.

The news was brought to light by Police Commissioner Jonathan Smith at a Press conference yesterday afternoon to discuss the quarterly crime statistics.

The incident took place on Friday night when Police were called to a house on Random Lane in Warwick at 10.05 p.m after neighbours reported a fire in an adjacent apartment.

The owner was not at home when the blaze was set off while nobody reportedly sustained any injuries ? although the extent of fire damage to the apartment has not been disclosed. A 35-year old Warwick woman has been arrested.
