Three top-level appointments at EY

Cordelia Davis

EY’s Bermuda office has made three senior management appointments.

Cordelia Davis is now partner in the insurance practice, and Kerr Kennedy was promoted to executive director in EY’s technology practice.

In addition, Steven Napier has joined EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice in Hamilton.

David Brown, senior partner of EY Bermuda Ltd and leader of the insurance practice for the region, added: “Cordelia and Kerr bring a wealth of experience to their new roles, as well as a proven ability to deliver high-quality service to our clients, and a focus on developing and supporting our people.”

Chris Maiato, leader of the Advisory practice continued: “Having top talent like Cordelia and Kerr is so important as we continue to build on our capabilities in Bermuda and across the region.”

Ms Davis has more than 14 years of experience serving a diverse client base of Fortune 1,000 companies, including SEC registrant insurance and reinsurance companies. She has worked at EY offices in Bermuda, New York and Charlotte. She also sits on the Board of the Bermuda chapter of 100 Women in Finance.

Ms Davis holds an MBA from Columbia University and is a New York-licensed CPA. She lives in Bermuda with her husband Shamark and their children, Khloie, Dylan and Camille.

Mr Kennedy has more than 17 years of risk and project management experience across financial services and focusing on IT external audit support work, Service Organisation Controls reporting, and various IT-related projects, with an emphasis on assisting companies best protect themselves from today’s ever-evolving cyber-threats.

He has a master’s degree in accountancy and finance from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Mr Kennedy lives in Bermuda with his wife Jo and their children, Jack and Georgie.

Mr Napier joins the TAS practice as an executive director in the Hamilton office. In this role, he will oversee valuation and business modelling for Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands, leading engagements related to the valuation of businesses, equity and debt interests, as well as various intangible assets and intellectual property.

Dan Scott, regional managing partner at EY, said: “The addition of Steven to our team will allow us to differentiate ourselves across the region and give us robust capabilities in the areas of valuations and business modelling for banks, insurers, hedge funds and private equity firms.”

Previously, Mr Napier was a partner in EY’s US firm for more than 20 years. Most recently, he served in EY’s New York office as private equity leader for the Valuations and Business Modelling practice.

Mr Napier holds several professional credentials including ASA, ABV, CMA, CPA and CDBV.
