Government claims public school students have shown a marked improvement in the standardised Terra Nova tests but has refused to release the test results for 2003 despite repeated requests from The Royal Gazette.

Terra Nova tests students from Primary 3 to Senior 2 in Language, Reading and Mathematics and compares the results to students in the United States at similar levels.

Government has said that Primary 3 students in Bermuda outscored their US counterparts in Reading and Mathematics last year.
