Crash on North Shore Road
A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash with an unmarked police car on North Shore Road yesterday.
The car driver was also hurt in the incident at the junction with My Lord’s Bay Road, Hamilton Parish, at about 2.30pm.
Police said the motorcyclist was more seriously injured than the car driver. Both were taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Acting Lieutenant Russann Francis, of the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, said in a statement: “On our arrival it was discovered that one individual was found with what appeared to be serious injuries, while another was removed from a car by fire personnel.”
She said three fire vehicles and nine staff attended the scene. Emergency medical technicians assessed the victims before they were taken to hospital.
Witnesses should call police on 295-0011.
