Gene Steede roast delayed until January 23
The Gene Steede Roast and Toast tribute organised by Multi Entertainment has been post poned until January 23.Organiser Jah Simmons said the change in date was due to “unfortunate circumstances and some minor confusions”.“We at Multi-Entertainment have decided to make a last ditch executive decision to Postpone, not cancel, the Gene Steede Comedy Roast & Toast. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, however we believe it is the best decision as we would like this event to be all that it deserves to be.”Mr Simmons said he also wanted to clear up confusion over tickets.“Regular $65 tickets will allow patrons to see the entire show from beginning at 7pm to end,” he said. “ This does include your ability to watch and enjoy the live band and singers. There has been speculation that this price only allows you access to the roast portion of the show which begins at 8.30pm.”VIP tickets for $150 have the advantage of allowing the ticket holder to be seated at a table and partake in a three course meal. VIP tickets are also entered into a raffle draw.“If anyone has purchased tickets for this event in hopes to see it this weekend, you may hold onto your ticket as we will not be reprinting new tickets, as we don’t want to cause further confusions by trying to do a massive ticket callback,” said Mr Simmons. “Your ticket will say “Sunday, January 9” even though the event is now rescheduled for January 23. If you cannot make the rescheduled January 23 date, please take your ticket back to the place of purchase for an immediate refund.“Again, we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, but I hope you can understand our decisions to reschedule.“We would like all those in attendance (including the performers) to enjoy this experience and celebration of a great man to its fullest.”
