Shares worth $180,000 changed hands on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, but there was no change to the closing prices of the three stocks that traded.

The index remained unchanged at 1,980.38 points.

Some 1,200 shares of Ascendant Group were exchanged, but the stock stayed at $9. Likewise, One Communications’ shares were static at $2.60, although 5,150 were traded.

And 4,800 shares of Butterfield Bank changed hands, but the stock remained at $32.50.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares improved by 22 cents, or 0.67 per cent, to $33.10.

The BSX Insurance Index was down 10.55 points, or 0.57 per cent, at 1,855.63.
