Six weeks have passed and Police have still had no sign of missing 70-year old Frank Cabral.

Police yesterday were not in a position to go any further than to say that they had scaled down the search.

Mr. Cabral, who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease has been missing for almost six weeks.

Police spokesman Dwayne Caines said: "Officers are still keeping a look out for Mr. Cabral, but the search has been scaled down.

"There were several reported sightings of Mr. Cabral, but none have been confirmed."

On Friday, Shadow Minister of Women's Affairs Suzann Holshouser said Mr. Cabral's family called on anyone who might be harbouring him to take him to Police or to let someone know that he is alright.

Mr. Cabral, 70, of Cove Valley, is Portuguese, five-foot 3-inches tall, balding with grey hair.

When last seen, on February 13, he was wearing tan pants, a red shirt and according to family and friends, he may have had a walking stick.

Mrs. Holshouser, who searched with St. David's residents last month, said his family were still hopeful.

"They are worried about him ? they just want to know that he is safe," said Ms Holshouser.

"So far Frank has not collected two pension cheques; he was due to collect one on February 13 when he went missing and one on the 15th of this month."
