BHA campaign director Cristine Wineinger said the BHA will pay tribute to the donors who supported their campaign to raise $5 million for use over the next three to five years.

To date, the BHA has received $2.9 million in cash and pledges.

During the marathon, 16 of Bermuda's best runners will run in honour of the donors who have pledged leadership support to the campaign.

Karen Adams will run for ACE Ltd.; Glennis Benjamin for Kitson & Company; Jane Christie for Gosling Brothers; Peggy Couper for Butterfield & Vallis; Anne Feakins for Conyers, Dill & Pearman; Brett Forgesson for Bermuda Electric Light Company; Ed Gomez for The Bank of Bermuda Centennial Trust; Julia Hawley for the Bermuda Junior Service League; Harry Patchett for Michael DeGroote; Rhianon Pedro for Mid Ocean Reinsurance; Frank Rodriguez for an anonymous donor; Kavin Smith for XL Foundation; Calvin Steede for Cable and Wireless; Sheldon Thompson for Corange; Kevin Tucker for Bermuda Home; and Tracey Wright for BF&M.

They will be wearing bright yellow numbers for identification while other runners who have obtained pledges for the race will be wearing a purple ribbon.
