The trial of a man accused of the attempted murder of a US tourist was set during yesterday's arraignment session.

Lorenzo Prince Robinson, 24, will appear for trial on October 18. He is accused of stabbing Scott Jable in the back as he was shopping on Front Street in October 2002.

A 43-year-old man pleaded not guilty to nine counts of serious sexual assault when he knowingly had a sexually transmitted disease. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, did not inform the woman of the disease when they had sex in October last year. He will appear for mention on July 1.

Another man, who was charged with serious sexual assault, pleaded not guilty. The 29-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied two counts of sexually assaulting a woman on February 10 and on May 23 last year. He also pleaded not guilty to unlawfully wounding the woman, intimidating her between February 14 and May 19 and May 28 and September 15, and depriving her of her liberty on May 23.

Two men pleaded guilty to robbing Opal Wilson with a machete on February 14. Dale Angelo Wilson, 33, of North Shore Road, Pembroke and Jamel Tito Dean Smith, 28, of West Park Lane, Pembroke will be sentenced on May 28 and were remanded in custody.

Alfred Bouverie Mallory, 35, of Warwick, pleaded guilty to importing heroin, cocaine and cannabis resin on January 4. He pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to supply but the charges will be left on file and Mallory will be sentenced on May 28.

Victoria Cashmay White, 40, is accused of importing cocaine and possession with intent to supply on February 29. She pleaded not guilty to both charges and will appear for mention on July 1.

Aldo Nelson Pace, 48, who owns Aldo's Carpet on North Shore Road, pleaded not guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of equipment to use for preparation of drugs. The charges allegedly occurred on November 16, 2003. Pace will appear for mention on July 1.

Fitzgerald Glen Richardson, 36, of Ewing Street, Pembroke will be sentenced on May 25 after a psychological report was requested. Richardson was charged with wounding Delvin Michael Caines with intent to cause grievous bodily harm during an altercation in August 2001.

John Glasgow, 22, of Spring Hill, Warwick was bound over for trial for June 12. Glasgow is accused of robbing Allen Robinson on December 12 last year.

Denton Parris, 33, of Cochrane Lane, Sandys will be sentenced on May 12 after a Supreme Court jury found him guilty of robbing Gilbert Clayton Smith of $150 on March 5 last year.

Toriano Dunkley, 33, of Sugar Apple Lane, Pembroke, who is accused of two counts of housebreaking, faces trial on July 5.

Fitzroy George Hamilton, from Jamaica, who is charged with importation cocaine and supply of the drug in April this year, will appear on June 1 for mention.

Corey Allen Ewings, 20, of Newark, New Jersey, who denies six counts of importing heroin, cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply, was remanded in custody for mention on June 1.

Glennamur Pauline Russell, 45, of Union Street changed her plea to guilty. Yesterday she told Chief Justice Richard Ground: "I don't want to waste the court's time." She is to return to court on June 1 for sentencing.

Jason Sinclair Liburd, 34, of North Shore Road, Devonshire was warned to appear for trial on May 17. Liburd pleaded not guilty to robbery on September 22, when he allegedly stole a woman's wallet using violence.

A 30-year-old Warwick man will go to trial on June 21. Kimwande Shelly Walker pleaded not guilty to six counts of drug possession and one count of cannabis cultivation.

Oshay Andre Swan, of Roberts Avenue, Devonshire, will be sentenced on June 4 after a social inquiry report was filed. He pleaded guilty to robbing a 71-year-old woman and possessing an offensive weapon, namely a knife, on November 11 last year.

Clinton McDonald Smith, 51, had his trial set for May 25. Smith pleaded not guilty to stealing a Bank of Bermuda money bag containing money from Richard Johnson on May 20 last year.

Cedric Alexander Simons, 36, of Spar Lane, Sandys Parish will be sentenced on May 19. Simons pleaded guilty to attempted breaking and entering and two counts of breaking and entering and theft.
