Tarpaulins, rope, D cell batteries and other essential items are available from the Hamilton Fire Station for those in need.

Unfortunately, however, Police media spokesman Dwayne Caines said that Dunkley's Dairy was unable to produce any ice until Monday due to unforeseen circumstances and they will contact the media to say where and when the ice can be purchased.

Mr. Caines also said if the public needed immediate ice, food or shelter, they could go to the Salvation Army (SA) on Reid Street, the SA Pembroke Citadel on North Street, St. James' Church in Somerset, St. Luke's in St. David's or the Seventh Day Adventist Churches at Crawl Hill and St. George's.

Emergency Ferry Service

The Emergency Ferry Service, which is being run to carry St. George's residents to Hamilton released a schedule yesterday.

Today the fast ferry will depart from Hamilton at 6.15 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.

It is due to arrive in St. George's at 7.30 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.

The ferry will depart St. George's at 8 a.m., 12 noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

It will arrive back in Hamilton at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. respectively.

The Government Information Service also released the Hamilton to Dockyard Fast Ferry service.

It will depart every hour on the hour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. arriving on the half hour.

All the schedules above are subject to change.

The Hamilton to Rockaway Service will depart from Southampton at 7.25 a.m. and 8.25 a.m. and will leave Hamilton at 5.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

There is also an emergency service between Paget and Warwick, which began yesterday.

It will run every half hour beginning at 11 a.m.

Lions donate $10,000 to victims

The Lions Club International (LCI) donated $10,000 for the Hurricane Fabian Relief Fund to help individuals and families in need.

Lions' Club zone Chairperson Ivan Smith said that individuals can contact him if they needed assistance.

He said they will be looking at the most dire needs and would provide tarpaulins, water and other necessities.

"The LCI indicated that they would take into consideration other needs following hurricane Fabian," said Mr. Smith.

"We will be looking at the most urgent needs within the community."

Harbour Nights cancelled

In the aftermath of Hurricane Fabian the tomorrow's Harbour Night has been cancelled. No announcement has yet to be made on when the Wednesday events will resume.

Saltus closed for the week

Saltus Grammar School announced that all three campuses will remain closed for the remainder of the week.

The Saltus release said it will issue a statement regarding the opening of the school.

In the meantime everyone is asked not to enter either the campuses at St. John's Road, Pembroke or the Cavendish site, for their own personal safety.

Tropical Fish show will go on

The Bermuda Fry-Angle Aquarium Society wants to remind the public of the Annual Tropical Fish Show that is due to take place on Saturday.

The show is open to all tropical fish keepers who can display their freshwater fish as part of the competition.

Lee Finley, an expert on catfish and cichlid fish, will be judging the competition this year.

Entries for the show must be delivered to the Aquarium by Thursday and judging will take place on Friday.

Entry forms are available from Noah's Ark Feed and Supply, Marsh Lane, Devonshire.

Entrants can also win a $200 gift certificate from Noah's Ark.
