The Sonesta Beach Resort has announced it has a new director of operations, Teri Seymour.

The company on Friday said that it had promoted Ms Seymour, who will now not only oversee the front desk and guest services, housekeeping, security and the pool and beach, but will also represent the hotel at various committees.

Ms Seymour, who has been with Sonesta for 11 years, will now attend meetings on behalf of the hotel for the Bermuda Hotel Association, the Bermuda Alliance for Tourism and other related committees, the company said in a Press release.

"Teri will also be responsible, together with Michael Collard, general manager, for hosting all customer site inspections and travel agent-related events," said the release. The hotel has been closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Fabian, and is due to reopen on May 1, 2004.
