Bermudian Rebecca Faulkenberry is Broadway bound after being given a staring role in the New York production of the musical ‘Rock of Ages'.As previously reported in this paper Miss Faulkenberry,26, has been a lead in the 1980s hair metal band inspired musical's national tour since October. She was supposed to carry on with the 24-city US tour until June but the Broadway producers of the musical have snapped her up instead.Yesterday the producers announced the “super group” they've assembled to kick off the Broadway performances on March 24 this year. The cast will feature a mix of actors from the original Broadway production as well as those from the Toronto cast and the musical's national tour.Miss Faulkenberry played Sherrie in the tour and will continue with the role on Broadway. Last year she appeared on Jay Leno's ‘The Tonight Show' along with former American Idol winner Constantine Maroulis to promote the tourHer most recent review, on Broadway World, stated: “Faulkenberry is stunningly gorgeous with a voice to match. Add into that wonderful comedic timing and amazing moves and she is a true quadruple threat.”Yesterday, as she flew from New York to Los Angeles to resume the tour, she told her fans on Facebook: “Thanks everyone. To say I'm excited is an understatement...I'm a lucky lady!!”Miss Faulkenberry's Broadway debut will take place on March 24. She will do one show a night on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
