Bermuda lose opening games

Bermuda lost their first two games in the Indigenous Basketball Challenge in Vancouver this week.

The islanders went down 78-68 to the American-based ITA Native Sports team yesterday. American-based Linden Jackson led Bermuda with 25 points, with Tejour Riley, fresh off the Summer Island Basketball League season with runners-up Thundercats, adding 18 points with 11 rebounds.

Bermuda went down 75-68 to the British Columbia-based Skidegate Saints on Wednesday. Jackson again led the local team with 24 points, with Riley adding 12 and Dion Easton, of SIBL champions Flyboys, scoring 10.

They take on Gitxsan in elimination play today, with the opening tip at War Memorial Gym at 1.30pm Bermuda time.
