Argus gains 1.7 percent

Insurers Argus Group Holdings Ltd and BF&M Ltd moved in opposite directions in Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) trading yesterday.Argus climbed nine cents, or 1.7 percent, to close on $5.25 as 1,100 shares changed hands.BF&M’s stock price fell 40 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $13.45 on the trading of 1,200 shares.Two thousand shares of Butterfield Bank were also exchanged, but the bank’s share price stayed at $1.25.And Ascendant Group was also unchanged after 1,200 of its shares changed hands.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 1.15 points, or 0.1 percent, to close on 1,138.51. Volume was 5,500 shares and turnover was $41,683.The BSX Insurance Index climbed back above 1,000 points, gaining four points, or 0.4 percent, to close on 1,002.
