Butterfield Bank rose six percent (nine cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.The bank traded 181 shares to close at $1.60.The only other trader was the Ascendant Group Ltd, which saw 1,500 shares changed hands, but its share price held firm at $14.Overall the Index climbed 43.06 points (3.46 percent) to 1,289.31 with 1,681 shares worth BD$21,297.50 and 1,000 shares worth US$8,750 transacted.The BSX Insurance Index, however, fell 43 points (4.69 percent) to 873.
