Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd rose 4.18 percent (50 cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.The bank closed at $12.45 with 100 shares traded.Butterfield Bank’s preference shares also climbed 0.16 percent ($2) to $235 as 26 shares changed hands, while it also transacted 3,750 common shares but the share value held firm.The Ascendant Group Ltd meanwhile traded 1,000 shares to close down 1.4 percent (20 cents) at $14.05.Overall the Index was up 0.71 points (0.06 percent) at 1,216.44 with 4,675 shares worth BD$20,887.50 and 26 shares worth US$32,173.56 changing hands.The BSX Insurance Index, however, fell 31 points (3.42 percent) at 875.
