Butterfield Bank shares shot up 15 cents, or 13.6 percent, to $1.25 as 1,204 of the shares traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.Ascendant and KeyTech also traded, also closing unchanged.Ascendant closed at $13.20 on a volume of 3,400 shares.KeyTech finished the day at $5.25 on a volume of 1,900 shares.Overall the BSX closed up 7 percent, or 71.09, at 1,086.91.The BSX Insurance Index closed down 2.00, or 0.19 percent at 1030.00.
