KeyTech shares shoot up 18.7%

BSX: Yesterday's trading saw KeyTech's market capitalisation rise by $10.2 million

Shares of telecommunications company KeyTech Ltd soared 18.7 percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.

In a sharp rebound after Thursday’s six percent fall, the owner of Bermuda Telephone Company and Logic Communications gained 70 cents to close at $4.45 on the trading of 26,958 shares.

The sharp rise was enough to add $10.2 million to KeyTech’s market capitalisation.

And, as the only mover in yesterday’s trading it lifted The Royal Gazette/BSX Index up by 8.64 points, or 0.63 percent, to 1,378.86.

A total of 33,716 Butterfield Bank shares traded, while the stock remained unchanged on $1.99.

Total BSX volume topped 61,800 shares, while turnover totalled more than $198,000.

The BSX Insurance Index rose 5.51 points, or 0.37 percent, to close on 1,481.27.
