Shares of Butterfield Bank slipped five cents (-2.6 per cent) to close at $1.90 after 2,900 changed hands on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Some 11,700 shares of BF&M were traded, but with no change to the closing price of $18. Likewise, 200 shares of Devonshire Industries were exchanged, but with no impact on the closing price of $6.

The total value of shares traded on the Index was $220,060. The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed at 1,321.23, down 22.40 points (1.67 per cent).

The BSX Insurance Index closed up 0.33 points (0.02 per cent) at 1,561.51.
