Bank’s shares edge down

A total of 25,193 shares worth $97,707 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The Bank of Butterfield fell one cent to $1.76 after 19,393 shares traded.

The bank’s preference shares also dropped, down 22 cents to $1137.28, after 26 shares changed hands.

Insurance firm BF&M was at $16.85, a fall of 13 cents, after 1,000 shares sold.

Financial services holding company Somers Ltd was unchanged at $13 after the movement of 500 shares.

A total of 2,500 shares in utilities firm Ascendant also traded, leaving the closing price unchanged at $5.20.

Telecoms firm KeyTech saw 500 shares move, leaving its price unchanged at $2.50, and Watlington Water was static at $20 after 1,300 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 5.39 points (0.44 per cent) at 1,212.54.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 4.80 points (0.31 per cent) at 1,556.
