Insurance firm Argus was up 32 cents, or 8.71 per cent, at $3.99 after 9,000 shares traded.

Fellow insurance company BF&M was unchanged at $16.90 after 600 shares moved.

Telecoms firm KeyTech fell 46 cents, or 11.50 per cent, to $3.54 after 3,800 shares changed hands.

Paint company Devonshire Industries dropped 50 cents, or 8.3 per cent, to $5.50 after 1,000 shares sold.

Utilities company Ascendant Group was unchanged at $4.50 after 3,700 shares sold.

The BSX Insurance Index closed down 2.82 points or 0.17 per cent at 1,675.35.
