The Bank of Butterfield saw 72,016 of its share move, ending three cents down, or 1.8 per cent, at $1.60.

Insurance firm Argus dropped 49 cents, or 12.3 per cent, to $3.50, after 7,800 shares sold.

Fellow insurers BF&M was unchanged at $17 after 5,587 shares changed hands.

Utilities firm Ascendant was 29 cents down, or 6.6 per cent, at $4.11, after 12,300 shares moved.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 3.79 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 1,161.92.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 5.25 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 1,632.56.
