The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today closed up 8.99 points, or 0.76 per cent, at 1,186.04.

The day’s sole trading was 31,490 shares in the Bank of Butterfield, which closed 2 cents, or 1.2 per cent, up at $1.64.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 12.32 points, or 0.75 per cent, at 1,655.31.
