The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today closed up 8.99 points, or 0.77 per cent, at 1,178.65.

The sole trading of the day was 500 shares in the Bank of Butterfield, which went up two cents, or 1.2 per cent, to $1.64.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 11.56 points, or 0.69 per cent, at 1,659.91.
