The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed to 1,188.11 last week, up 9.78 points, or 0.82 per cent.

Five stocks improved, with Ascendant Group rising 19 cents, or 3.8 per cent, to $5.25 after 1,338 shares changed hands.

Argus Group finished up 10 cents, or 2.6 per cent, at $3.90 after 2,800 shares traded, while KeyTech improved five cents, or 1.9 per cent, to $2.65 after 1,400 shares changed hands.

Also rising was BF&M, which closed at $17.10, up 10 cents, or 0.6 per cent, after 2,660 shares traded. Bank of Butterfield shares improved by one cent, or 0.6 per cent, to $1.64 after 144,436 changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index was 7.93 points higher, or 0.47 per cent, at 1,685.73.
