Bank shares edge higher

A total of 195,000 shares worth $828,750 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
The Bank of Butterfield saw 25 of its preference shares trade, lifting the price up $9.99, or 1 per cent, at $1,050.
HSBC Holdings' shares ended the day 20 cents higher at $7, or up 2.94 per cent, after 9,514 were traded.
Insurance firm Argus was unchanged after 192,000 shares changed hands.
Watlington Waterworks was also unchanged at $20.25 after 3,000 shares sold.
Although two stocks advanced, The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was listed as unchanged at 1,360.6 points.
The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 9.24 points, or 0.56 per cent, at 1,653.86.
